Sondra R
Ordained Minister in Little Rock, Arkansas
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became ordained because I believe love, commitment, and partnership deserve to be honored with dignity and compassion. Over the years, I have watched people I deeply love be denied the opportunity to have their marriage recognized or celebrated simply because of who they are. That never aligned with my understanding of faith, humanity, or the teachings shared across so many religions. We are called to love one another fully and without condition. Becoming ordained was my way of creating a space where every couple feels seen, respected, and celebrated. Marriage is one of life’s most meaningful moments, and I believe every person deserves to enter it surrounded by acceptance, joy, and genuine support.

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to create meaningful, inclusive ceremonies that reflect the heart of the people standing in front of me. My goal is to provide a space where everyone safe, valued, and genuinely celebrated, regardless of their background, beliefs, identity, or story. I want the weddings I officiate to feel personal and deeply intentional, not simply a legal formality, but a moment where two people are honored in love and community. Through my ordination, I hope to help people feel welcomed rather than judged, supported rather than excluded, and reminded that love itself is sacred.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Little Rock, AR wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is that they are deeply personal, grounded in real connection, and never one-size-fits-all. I bring over a decade of experience as a doula in my community, where I’ve supported families through some of the most intimate, emotional, and transformative moments of their lives. That work has taught me how to hold space for people from all walks of life, beliefs, and traditions with respect, calm, and genuine care. I carry that same approach into every ceremony I officiate. I also bring a sense of joy and lightness to the experience. I believe wedding days should feel alive — not stiff or overly scripted. My couples often describe the experience as fun, relaxed, and full of meaning at the same time. I help create moments that feel authentic to who they are, blending sincerity with celebration in a way that feels natural and memorable.
