Jeremy Gatewood
Ordained Minister in Charlotte, North Carolina
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because I believed my calling was bigger than a title, a platform, or a certificate. On February 9th, 2019, I began my ministry journey after feeling called by Yahweh to serve, teach, guide, and stand as a vessel for truth, wisdom, and spiritual accountability.
For me, ordination was not about convenience; it was about obedience. It was a formal step that allowed me to honor the calling already placed on my life and begin walking in it with greater responsibility, structure, and purpose. I wanted to be equipped to serve people spiritually, encourage transformation, support families and communities, and help others reconnect with faith, covenant, discipline, and divine purpose.
My ministry was born from conviction, not popularity. I answered the call because I believe Yahweh appoints people not only to speak, but to serve; not only to lead, but to live as an example. Becoming ordained online gave me a legal and organized foundation, but the true ordination began in my spirit when I accepted the assignment Yahweh placed on my life.
Where are you from?
I am from Charlotte, North Carolina, born and raised. Charlotte is where my foundation was built, where my faith was strengthened, and where my journey of service first began.
Although I come from Charlotte, my ministry has never been limited to one city, one state, or one region. I have traveled across the country, connected with people from many walks of life, and had the honor of ministering beyond the borders of the United States into different countries across the sea.
My roots are in Charlotte, but my calling is global. Yahweh has allowed me to carry the message beyond my hometown, reaching hearts, homes, and communities wherever the assignment has led me.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
What I hope to achieve with my online ordination is simple, but deeply sacred: I want to live in such a way that when my assignment on this earth is complete, I may hear the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
My ordination is not just about recognition, paperwork, or a position. It is about responsibility, obedience, and service. I desire to use this ordination as a vessel to reach people, teach truth, restore faith, strengthen families, and help others walk closer with Yahweh.
My goal is to serve with integrity, humility, and purpose. Whether I am ministering online, across the country, or across the sea, I want my life and ministry to reflect the calling Yahweh placed upon me. At the end of it all, my greatest achievement would not be fame, status, or applause, but knowing that I was faithful to the work, faithful to the people, and faithful to Yahweh.
