Minister Dwayne N Crawford
Ordained Minister in Bronx, New York
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because I felt called to be a vessel for something greater than myself. There was a moment in my life when I realized that love, healing, and connection are sacred, and I wanted to be someone who could help hold that space for others. Becoming ordained wasn’t about titles or formality — it was about answering a quiet spiritual nudge, a sense that I was meant to guide, uplift, and stand with people during life’s most meaningful transitions.
For me, it was an act of service. A way to honor the divine in every person. A way to show up with intention, compassion, and reverence when people needed grounding, blessing, or simply a reminder that they are not walking their path alone.
Where are you from?
The South Bronx, New York.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to use my online ordination as a way to bring more light, healing, and connection into the world. My intention is to serve as a spiritual presence for people during the moments that matter most. Ultimately, I hope to be a bridge between people and their faith, between uncertainty and peace, between everyday life and the sacred moments that shape us. Whether that’s celebrating love, offering comfort, or helping someone feel seen and supported.

Additional Information
My grandmother and my late aunt, Evangelist Cassandra W. Jiles, kept me in church my whole life. I was a prayer warrior and a healer in my adolescence, carrying a Bible every day in high school. At the young age of 14, I was draped, then received the power of tongues at 21, and began prophesying at 31.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Bronx, NY wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is Because, I don’t just recite words I create a sacred moment. I take time to truly understand the couple, their story, their energy, and the meaning behind their commitment. Every ceremony I lead is crafted with purpose, prayer, and a sense of reverence for the union taking place. Whether the ceremony is traditional, modern, or completely unique, I make sure it reflects the couple’s values, their journey, and the deeper significance of the vows they’re making.
