I became a minister to officiate the wedding of a dear friend and her partner during a very challenging part of their lives.

I am a New Orleans native of Garifuna descent and have lived and traveled in many places. My life experience gives me a more universal perspective in terms of spirituality and culture.

My online ordination came as a bit of a surprise to me, actually. I had wanted to train as a Celebration of Life officiant, but my friend asking me to perform her wedding opened another door which I have stepped through happily. My one intention has now become a calling to serve in more than one capacity.

As a wedding officiant, the single most important thing is celebrating the couple getting married. That may seem obvious at first, but so often, that celebration is blurred by a focus on pleasing attendees or tending to the logistics of the day. My ceremonies stay squarely focused on the couple and the celebration of their love in a highly curated and customized way.

My services are centered around celebration and customizing ceremony around that celebration. Whether we are welcoming a newborn home for the first time or celebrating the life of a loved one who has transitioned or creating a boys' rite of passage, I am honored to officiate once in a lifetime occasions.
