Ordained Minister in Madison, South Dakota
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
The decision to become an ordained minister was a transition from being a passive observer of life’s milestones to becoming an active guardian of them. For me, the primary catalyst was the desire to provide a soulful, personalized experience for the people I value most. When my best friends shared their intention to marry, it became clear that a generic ceremony wouldn’t suffice for a bond so unique. I wanted to be the one to bridge the gap between their history as a couple and the official start of their future. Stepping into this role allowed me to weave our shared memories and inside jokes into the very fabric of their vows. Standing at the altar with them, I realized that ordination is about more than just legal paperwork; it is about the power of presence. It gave me the agency to create a space where they felt truly seen and understood. Being the person to declare them partners for life was a profound honor that transformed my perspective on community and service. Now, I view ministry as a way to celebrate love in its most authentic forms, ensuring that every "I do" is as intentional and heartfelt as the friendship that inspired my journey.
