Veronique Ory
Ordained Minister in Vero Beach, Florida
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I’m an intuitive movement and mindfulness guide, storyteller, and retreat leader with a background in theatre and a deep love for creating meaningful shared experiences. I believe ceremonies have the power to slow us down enough to truly feel the moment we’re living in. Whether through yoga, meditation, movement, or spoken word, I’m drawn to creating spaces where people feel seen, connected, and fully present.
My approach is warm, personalized, and rooted in curiosity and care. I love weaving together storytelling, reflection, humor, ritual, and intentional language to create ceremonies that feel authentic to the people standing in front of me. For me, ministry is less about doctrine and more about honoring humanity, connection, love, transition, and celebration in all its forms.
I originally became ordained because a dear friend asked if I would officiate her wedding. It felt like such an honor to be invited into one of the most meaningful moments of someone’s life. At the time, I realized so much of what I already loved guiding through theatre, yoga, retreats, and community gatherings naturally translated into ceremony.
I’ve always been someone who loves bringing people together — creating spaces that feel intentional, heartfelt, and memorable. Becoming ordained felt like a natural extension of the way I already moved through the world: holding space, telling stories, and helping people mark important chapters of their lives with presence and meaning.
Where are you from?
I’m originally from Montreal, Quebec, and currently live in Florida. My roots in theatre, travel, movement, and mindfulness have shaped the way I connect with people and guide experiences. I’m deeply inspired by nature, culture, community, and the beauty of gathering people together across different walks of life.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to continue creating ceremonies that feel deeply personal, grounded, and reflective of the people at the center of them. Whether it’s a wedding, vow renewal, celebration of life, or another meaningful rite of passage, I want people to feel connected not only to one another, but to themselves and the moment they’re stepping into.
I also hope to bring a sense of ease, warmth, creativity, and presence into the ceremonial experience — helping people move beyond tradition for tradition’s sake and into something that genuinely feels like them. My intention is to create experiences people remember not just for how they looked, but for how they felt.

Additional Information
I was raised with influences from both Catholic and Jewish traditions, and I’m also the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors — a lineage that deeply shaped my understanding of resilience, remembrance, humanity, and the importance of connection across differences.
Over the years, through my work in yoga, mindfulness, storytelling, and community, my spiritual path has evolved into one centered around spiritualism: a belief in divine energy, universal consciousness, and our interconnectedness as human beings. I believe there are many paths to love, meaning, and reverence, and I approach ceremony with openness, compassion, and respect for each individual’s beliefs and background.
My intention as a minister is to create inclusive, heartfelt experiences that honor the sacredness of life’s transitions while helping people feel grounded, connected, and fully present with one another.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Vero Beach, FL wedding officiant?
I think what makes my ceremonies special is the balance of presence, personalization, and storytelling. I take time to truly get to know the couple — how they met, what they value, what they’ve moved through together, what makes them laugh, and what kind of feeling they want people to leave with. I want the ceremony to feel less like a script and more like an honest reflection of who they are.
With my background in theatre, mindfulness, and guiding retreats, I’m very attuned to energy, pacing, emotion, and creating an experience people can actually drop into rather than simply witness. I love weaving together warmth, humor, sincerity, symbolism, and thoughtful language in a way that feels grounded and natural rather than overly performative.
Above all, I want people to feel connected — to each other, to their loved ones, and to the meaning of the moment itself.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I’m based in Florida and especially love officiating ceremonies in coastal settings, nature-forward spaces, boutique retreat environments, and destinations that invite people to slow down and truly connect. I feel particularly aligned with places that cultivate beauty, presence, community, and meaningful shared experiences.
I frequently travel throughout Florida, New York, California, Costa Rica, and Europe through my retreat and teaching offerings, and I’m open to destination ceremonies both within the U.S. and internationally. I’m especially drawn to intimate gatherings, wellness-centered celebrations, interfaith ceremonies, and experiences that feel personal, intentional, and reflective of the couple themselves.
