Robert Edward Parkins
Ordained Minister in Thornton, Colorado
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because I deeply believe in the institution of marriage. To me, marriage is not just a legal agreement—it is a sacred covenant made before God. It’s a vow that carries real weight, real responsibility, and is meant to be honored for a lifetime.
I felt called to be part of that moment in people’s lives—to stand with couples as they commit not just to each other, but to God as the foundation of their relationship. In a world where commitment can sometimes be taken lightly, I wanted to help uphold the true meaning of marriage: faithfulness, sacrifice, love, and perseverance.
Being ordained allows me to support and encourage couples to enter into marriage with the right mindset—that it’s not temporary, it’s not conditional, but something designed to last forever with God at the center.
Where are you from?
Thornton, CO.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
What I hope to achieve with my online ordination is to help restore and reinforce the true meaning of marriage as God intended it. I want to be a steady, faith-centered presence for couples as they step into one of the most important commitments of their lives.
My goal is not just to officiate a ceremony, but to guide couples toward understanding that marriage is a lifelong covenant built on love, trust, faith, and commitment to God. I hope to encourage them to start their journey with the right foundation—one that will help them endure challenges, grow together, and remain strong through all seasons of life.
Ultimately, I want to serve God by serving others—helping couples honor Him through their marriage and reminding them that when God is at the center, their relationship has the strength to last forever.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Thornton, CO wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special as a wedding officiant is the heart and meaning behind them. I don’t see a wedding as just an event—I see it as a sacred moment where two lives are being joined together before God.
I bring a genuine sense of purpose to each ceremony, focusing on the spiritual foundation of marriage rather than just the formalities. I take time to reflect the couple’s values, their commitment to one another, and their desire to honor God in their relationship.
My goal is to create a ceremony that feels personal, sincere, and grounded in faith—one that not only celebrates love but also emphasizes the lifelong covenant being made. I want couples to walk away not just with a beautiful memory, but with a deep understanding of the promise they’ve made and the strength they can draw from keeping God at the center of their marriage.
