Rev Noelle
Ordained Minister in Canton, South Dakota
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I believe we humans have put too many restrictions on ordinations, making it very difficult for most people to answer God's call. And I feel God specifically calling me to minister to military veterans, as many clergy seem to believe patriotism to be sinful. Some even believe that true Christians cannot serve in the military. I believe neither--military service always involves sacrifice, and true patriotism means being grateful for one's country, no arrogance involved.
Where are you from?
I live near Sioux Falls, SD.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
It is my hope to be God's voice to veterans, especially when veterans are struggling with demons resulting from their military service. I want to show veterans that God has not forsaken them.

Additional Information
I was raised in the ELCA church, but I am aware of the various "Lutheran flavors." I am pretty familiar also with Episcopal traditions and am aware of many other denominations. The important thing for me is that I am a Christian. Some of my upbringing may influence how I view things (such as infant baptism, etc), what it boils down to is that I profess Jesus Christ as my Savior but also the Savior of all who accept His gift of grace.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I do have experience in leading ELCA worship services, though I can probably lead the worship service of any denomination that would not object to female preachers. (Yes, I do write my own sermons.) It's difficult for me to say exactly how much experience I have because I was in 7th grade when I started leading worship services in the pastor's absence.

I have a psychiatric service dog and am not ashamed of him. With him by my side, I am not only ministering to veterans but also advocating for improved mental health care in this country.
