Reverend Fitzhugh
Ordained Minister in Jacksonville, Florida
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
became an ordained minister to formally align my spiritual work with a recognized structure of service, responsibility, and leadership. My path has always centered on guiding individuals through meaningful life transitions with clarity, intention, and integrity. Ordination allows me to legally and ethically officiate ceremonies such as weddings, as well as provide spiritual counsel in a way that is both grounded and accountable. My approach blends spiritual insight with practical understanding, creating a balanced space where individuals can feel supported in both their personal and spiritual development. I believe that moments such as union, commitment, and transformation deserve to be handled with care, presence, and a deep respect for the significance they hold. Becoming an ordained minister was a natural extension of the work I was already doing, offering guidance, structure, and support to those seeking alignment, clarity, and purpose in their lives.
Where are you from?
I was raised across North Carolina, Texas, Georgia, and Arizona, an experience shaped by both of my parents serving in the United States Army. Growing up in a military household required adaptability, discipline, and a strong sense of awareness at an early age. Frequent relocations exposed me to diverse environments, cultures, and perspectives, which strengthened my ability to connect with people from all walks of life while maintaining a grounded sense of self. This upbringing instilled structure, resilience, and the ability to remain composed in changing circumstances, all of which continue to influence how I move, think, and lead today.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My online ordination reflects my commitment to formally aligning my spiritual practice with professional structure and service. Through this, I aim to provide guidance, officiate ceremonies, and support individuals navigating personal, relational, and spiritual transitions with both integrity and intention. This designation allows me to operate with recognized authority while offering spiritual advisement, mentorship, and transformative experiences in a way that is both ethically grounded and accessible. It also supports the expansion of my work by creating a structured foundation for services such as private sessions, ceremonies, and curated spiritual programs. Ultimately, my goal is to use my ordination to bridge spiritual insight with real-world application, helping individuals move with clarity, purpose, and self-mastery in their everyday lives.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Jacksonville, FL wedding officiant?
What makes my weddings special is that I don’t treat them as a routine service—I approach each ceremony as a deeply intentional experience. I take the time to understand each couple’s story, values, and dynamic so the ceremony reflects who they truly are, not a generic script. My background in spirituality, human behavior, and relationship dynamics allows me to guide couples beyond the surface level. I create ceremonies that feel grounded, meaningful, and emotionally present, while still maintaining a refined and professional tone. Every word, pause, and moment is curated to hold weight. I also bring a sense of calm leadership to the space. Weddings can be overwhelming, but I ensure the ceremony flows smoothly and feels centered, allowing the couple to fully experience the moment rather than manage it.
