Tangential Monk

I saw and loved many people who were shunned by their families, communities, and the world at large, and my heart broke to see them in pain. I cannot make the people who abandoned them take them back, and I cannot change the world to make it love them with the honesty and affection that we are all due, but I can at least let them know that they are seen and take even a little bit of the weight off of their shoulders by being present and helpful for the happiest moment of their lives.

I was born and raised in South Georgia, but a large portion of my family is also from Upstate York.

I just want to bring a little light and hope into a world that often seems to only crave darkness. I know I am not the only one, but I also know how hard it can be to find the light in this world, sometimes. I just want to be one of many symbols of happiness and peace; one more guidepost for those who might not know where to look.

I have certain spiritual philosophies, but, by and large, I don't particularly believe in anything supernatural. That said, I am of the mind that there are some questions that simply cannot be answered in this life, and that some things do not require a challenge of validity and veracity. What matters is what better world our beliefs, whatever they may look like, guide us toward. Though I may not necessarily believe the same things as someone else, I am always prepared to help them navigate their lives through their own lenses, and I always do my level best to learn and understand as much as I can about someone's beliefs so that I can operate from a place of guidance using their own words and their own thoughts. I consider myself immaterial in that regard, and I mean that in the Taoist sense of not needing to draw too much attention to my own identity when assisting others as they discover their identities.

I am located in South Georgia, close to the Florida border.

I am still learning a great deal about myself and the world, and I do not claim to offer anything revolutionary. I just want to help others find peace and fulfillment.
