Jaleesa Graves
Ordained Minister in Texarkana, Texas
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister because I believe connection deserves to be honored in a real, intentional way. I’ve always been the person people come to. For advice, for comfort, for clarity. This felt like a natural extension of who I already am. It wasn’t just about performing ceremonies; it was about being able to stand in meaningful moments and help people feel seen, grounded, and genuinely celebrated.
Where are you from?
I’m from Texas, where community, tenacity, and authenticity are just part of how you show up in the world. Growing up here taught me how to connect with people from all walks of life and how to bring warmth and realness into every space I step into.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
What I hope to achieve is simple but powerful. I want to create moments that actually mean something. Whether it’s a wedding, a vow renewal, or a life transition, I want people to feel like their story matters. I’m not here to just “check a box” and perform a ceremony; I want to bring intention, energy, and a sense of presence that people remember long after the moment is over.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Texarkana, TX wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is the intention behind them. Even though I’m newer to officiating, I focus on making each ceremony feel personal, genuine, and true to the couple, not scripted or generic.
I take time to understand your story so the moment actually feels meaningful, not just formal. I also bring a calm, grounded presence that helps couples feel at ease and fully present.
My goal is simple: for it to feel like something for you, not something you’ve seen before.
