Robert Robinette
Ordained Minister in Lincoln, Nebraska
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister in April 2023 as a way to formalize my commitment to serving others and supporting people during meaningful moments in their lives. I was drawn to online ordination because it provided a flexible, accessible path to ministry that aligned with my desire to help others without the barriers of a traditional seminary route. It allowed me to step into a role of service quickly and authentically, guided by a genuine interest in supporting individuals, families, and my community.
Where are you from?
I am from Lincoln, Nebraska, and much of my perspective on service and leadership has been shaped by the values and experiences I’ve gained here. My background in the military and public service has reinforced the importance of integrity, compassion, and being present for people when they need it most.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
With my online ordination, I hope to continue expanding the ways I can support others—whether through officiating ceremonies, offering guidance, or simply being a steady, positive presence during important life events. My goal is to use this ordination as another avenue to uplift people, strengthen connections, and contribute meaningfully to the communities I’m part of.
Religious Affiliations
Christianity, Lutheranism, Universal Life Church
Additional Information
My approach to ministry is intentionally non denominational and inclusive. I focus on serving people from all backgrounds, beliefs, and traditions, and I tailor each ceremony or service to reflect the values and preferences of the individuals involved. Rather than being tied to a specific religious doctrine, my work is grounded in respect, compassion, and the desire to support people during meaningful moments in their lives. This flexibility allows me to meet people where they are and create experiences that feel authentic and welcoming to everyone.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Lincoln, NE wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is the level of intention and personalization I bring to each one. I take time to understand the couple, their story, their values, and the tone they want for their ceremony, so that what I deliver feels meaningful, authentic, and uniquely theirs. My background in military service has taught me the importance of presence, professionalism, and calm leadership, which helps create a grounded, reassuring atmosphere on a day that can be both emotional and overwhelming. I aim to craft ceremonies that honor the significance of the moment while still reflecting the couple’s personality and vision.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I’m based in Lincoln, Nebraska, and I’m comfortable traveling throughout the surrounding region for ceremonies and ministerial services. I have experience working in both urban and rural settings, and I’m familiar with venues and outdoor locations across Nebraska. I’m also open to traveling farther when needed, especially for couples or families who feel a personal connection to my approach. My goal is always to make the process smooth and supportive, whether the ceremony is close to home or a bit farther away.
