Crystal Alviso
Ordained Minister in Kirkland, Washington
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I decided to become an ordained minister online because I wanted to be able to legally officiate ceremonies for my family, friends, and everyone who desires to spend their lives together. Online ordination gave me a simple and accessible way to step into that role without jumping through hoops, while still honoring the sincerity and responsibility.
Where are you from?
I was born in the Philippines and have always shared a close relationship with my family and relatives. I’ve always valued close knit, supportive communities, and that strong sense of connection to family and friendship is what draws me to this path. I love being part of celebrations, helping people feel seen and cared for, and bringing warmth to big life moments.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
With my online ordination, I hope to create heartfelt, personalized ceremonies that reflect each couple’s unique story, values, and culture. I also hope to build a small ministry centered around kindness, inclusivity, and genuine support, whether through weddings, blessings, or simply being someone others feel comfortable turning to. Most of all, I want to use this role to make people feel celebrated, comforted, and loved on the days that matter most.
