Soniangely Quinones
Ordained Minister in Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister online because my aunt and her girlfriend — a lesbian couple — asked me to be part of their wedding. I wanted to honor them and celebrate their love in a way that felt personal and meaningful.
I believe love is love, no matter gender, and it’s more powerful than anything. I want to be able to officiate LGBTQ weddings as well as any other wedding, and create ceremonies where every couple feels respected, celebrated, and seen.
Where are you from?
I’m from Puerto Rico but I currently live in Lebanon, PA
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
With my online ordination, I hope to be there for the people I care about during their most meaningful moments. I want to create inclusive, personal ceremonies where every couple — LGBTQ or not — feels celebrated and respected. My goal is to make weddings feel genuine, joyful, and true to the couple’s love story, without judgment or limitations.
Religious Affiliations
Catholicism, Christianity, Spiritualism
Additional Information
I believe in God. I was raised in the Catholic Church and also around Santeria, which gave me a strong spiritual foundation. I consider myself Christian because my faith is centered on Christ, but I’m also spiritual and open to all beliefs. I respect every couple’s background and I’m comfortable creating a ceremony that reflects their values, whether it’s Christian, spiritual, interfaith, or secular.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Lebanon, PA wedding officiant?
This will be my first time officiating, and I’m putting my heart into it. As a lesbian minister, I understand how important it is for LGBTQ couples to feel truly seen and celebrated, and I bring that same care to every ceremony I officiate. I focus on making the ceremony personal and genuine by learning the couple’s story and building the ceremony around them. I believe in love without limits, so I want every couple — LGBTQ or not — to feel celebrated, respected, and truly seen on their day.

My goal is to make them comfortable and make their day feel meaningful and true to who they are.
