Nathan A Koenig
Ordained Minister in LOUISVILLE, Colorado
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
Honestly, it started out as something practical more than anything else. A close friend of mine needed someone to officiate their wedding, and getting ordained online was the simplest way to make that happen for them. But after doing it, I realized it also meant something more to me—it gave me a chance to be part of really meaningful moments in people’s lives, whether that’s weddings, ceremonies, or just offering support. What began as a favor turned into something I genuinely value and take seriously.

Colorado
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to use it as a way to be there for people during some of the most important moments in their lives. Whether it’s officiating weddings, supporting friends and family, or helping create meaningful, personalized ceremonies, I want to make those experiences feel genuine and memorable. More than anything, I see it as an opportunity to bring people together and contribute something positive and lasting.

Additional Information
I’d say that my approach is more inclusive than tied to any one specific denomination. My ordination allows me to officiate legally, but when it comes to ceremonies, I focus on what feels meaningful and authentic to the people involved. I’m respectful of a wide range of beliefs and traditions—religious, spiritual, or secular—and I’m always happy to incorporate elements that reflect your values. My goal is to create a space where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and genuinely represented.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a LOUISVILLE, CO wedding officiant?
I think what makes my ceremonies special is how personal and intentional they are. I take the time to really get to know each couple—their story, their values, and what matters most to them—so the ceremony feels authentic rather than scripted. I also try to strike a balance between meaningful and approachable, so it’s heartfelt without feeling overly formal or stiff. At the end of the day, I want it to feel like their moment, not just a standard ceremony, and something they—and their guests—will genuinely remember.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I’m based in the Denver area, which gives me access to a wide variety of beautiful settings—from urban venues in the city to scenic spots in the nearby mountains. I regularly travel throughout the Denver metro area and surrounding regions, and I especially enjoy ceremonies in places like Boulder, Golden, and the foothills or mountain towns. That said, I’m always open to traveling a bit further if the location is meaningful to you. I’ve found that each setting brings its own unique energy, and I love helping couples make the most of wherever they choose to celebrate.
