James Baxter
Ordained Minister in Encinitas, California
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I had a friend ask me to perform their wedding.
I grew up attending Calvary Chapels in San Diego since the late 1970's. I have a distaste for organized religion made by man. I have an un-wavering love for God and his only Son and our Savior Jesus Christ.
I believe that we are called to love one another. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13: 34-35
I believe we are saved by grace and not by works. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
I believe that our salvation is a hope in something better. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. — 1 Peter 1:3
Jesus loved us so much that he gave his life for us, I believe we are called to do the same.
