Robert L MacFann
Ordained Minister in Tacoma, Washington
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
My life has been defined by service, accountability, and the protection of others. Those traits align closely with the responsibilities that many faith traditions associate with ordained ministry. A commitment to integrity, I have consistently placed moral duty above personal gain. Ordination formalizes that instinct by anchoring it in a spiritual covenant rather than just a personal ethic. A protector’s mindset, years of safeguarding others - physically, legally, and ethically, translates into a pastoral form of protection: guiding, supporting, and advocating for people in moments of vulnerability. Respect for discipline and responsibility. The structured expectations of ministry mirror the disciplined environments I've served in. Accountability is not optional but foundational. A belief in justice and dignity, Ordination gives me a platform to speak to injustice with moral clarity, not as a partisan actor but as someone grounded in a tradition that values human worth.

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
Ordination gives me a recognized moral platform, not for hierarchy or titles, but for service. Several aims emerge clearly from your values: To speak with ethical authority, I've spent a lifetime calling out injustice and protecting the vulnerable. Ordination gives me a formal framework to continue that work in a spiritual, not institutional, voice. To guide people through uncertainty. My background in crisis, discipline, and responsibility positions you to help others navigate moral and emotional turbulence with steadiness. To transform lived experience into service. I've already been doing pastoral work informally by advocating, educating, mentoring, and protecting. Ordination simply names what I've been doing all along. To create a space where dignity is non-negotiable, because I value systems that protect people rather than exploit them. Ministry allows you to model that ethic in a way that transcends politics.
