Matthew LeBlanc
Ordained Minister in CYPRESS, Texas
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally chose to become ordained because I’ve always been moved by the power of a great story—and there is no story more significant than two people choosing to build a life together. I wanted to do more than just attend weddings; I wanted to be the person who helps couples transition into their next chapter with a ceremony that feels like them. For me, this isn't just about signing a license. It’s an opportunity to meet wonderful people from all walks of life right here in Houston and play a small part in one of their most joyful moments. Being the person who gets to say ‘I now pronounce you.’ is a profound honor that I never take for granted.
Where are you from?
Oberlin, LA
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My goal is to bridge the gap between tradition and the modern world. By becoming ordained, I’ve gained the legal 'key' to unlock a space where I can serve others on their terms. I hope to use this platform to provide couples with a professional, inclusive, and deeply personal experience that a traditional institution might not offer. Beyond the ceremony, I want to build a business rooted in connection. I hope to meet the diverse faces of Houston, hear their unique love stories, and ensure that every couple—regardless of their background or beliefs—feels seen, celebrated, and legally protected as they start their lives together.
