Myia E Johnson
Ordained Minister in MEDFORD, Oregon
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
Core Ministry & Beliefs The Collective Consciousness: Myia believes we are all part of a larger whole, sharing a connection with every living thing—from the people around us to the trees and animals. Honoring All Paths: She honors whatever belief system helps a person become the best version of themselves and supports their community, whether that is Christianity, Confucianism, or any other path. Life Over Afterlife: Rather than focusing on a "golden donut" at the end of life, Myia’s priority is the here and now. Her ministry focuses on doing the right thing in this life, learning, and becoming a better person for the sake of the planet we share. The Ultimate Truth: While she enjoys exploring the myriad ways humanity attempts to explain the unexplainable, her ultimate conclusion is simple: "At the end of it, all there really is is love. Everything about it is a love song."

The Three Pillars of My Work: 1. Empowerment & Self-Determination I provide vocational training, life skills, and advocacy to ensure people with disabilities achieve meaningful employment and an equitable lifestyle. I don't just open doors; I work to ensure the necessary accommodations and services stay in place so that success is sustainable.
A Different Kind of Celebration As an officiant, I believe weddings are the sacred architecture of a life shared. My ceremonies are distinct because they go beyond the "I do." Drawing from 24 years of patience and discipline, I celebrate love as a beautiful commitment that requires time, devotion to one’s partner, and—crucially—devotion to one’s self.
Radical Inclusion & Social Justice My ministry is a vessel for social justice. I am a fierce advocate for service, accommodation, and inclusion for all people. Whether in the workplace or at the altar, I strive to dismantle barriers and create spaces where every individual is seen, heard, and celebrated for exactly who they are.
Why Work With Me? I believe that love is the basis of all things, but justice is how we protect that love. Whether I am training a student for their first job or standing with a couple as they begin their marriage, I bring a unique blend of professional authority, spiritual depth, and an unwavering commitment to equity.
