Jenee Marks
Ordained Minister in Fort Worth, Texas
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because I felt a clear calling to serve people in meaningful moments of their lives. Ministry is not confined to a building or a title—it is about being present, offering guidance, and helping others connect to faith, purpose, and hope.
The online ordination simply made it possible to formalize that calling. It provided a practical pathway to legally officiate weddings, offer spiritual support, and serve families during milestones such as marriages, baby blessings, and funerals. For many of us, the online route removes barriers while still honoring the seriousness of the commitment.
My decision was not about convenience alone; it was about accessibility. The world has changed, and ministry must meet people where they are—sometimes that begins online but always continues in real relationships and service.
At the heart of it, I became ordained because I believe in walking alongside people in their most sacred moments and helping them feel seen, supported, and spiritually grounded.
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Kansas, where I developed a strong foundation grounded in faith, integrity, and community service. My upbringing instilled in me the importance of compassion, dedication, and servant leadership—values that continue to guide my ministry today.
I currently reside in Fort Worth, Texas, where I am honored to serve a diverse and vibrant community. While Kansas shaped my character and spiritual foundation, Fort Worth has provided the opportunity to actively live out my calling through meaningful service, guidance, and support during life’s most significant moments.
