Annie Allred
Ordained Minister in West Valley City, Utah
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because I’ve always believed that marking life’s moments matters—especially for people who don’t feel represented, welcomed, or comfortable in traditional religious spaces.
I’ve watched weddings, funerals, and major transitions become more about rules and institutions than about the people actually living them. I wanted the ability to stand with someone in those moments and help create something meaningful, personal, and respectful—without forcing them into a box that doesn’t fit.
It wasn’t about status or authority. It was about holding space, honoring love and commitment in a way that felt human and inclusive.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
Ultimately, I hope my ordination allows me to hold space with integrity, bridge gaps between belief systems, and offer a calm, steady presence when people are celebrating love.
