Cheyenne Wisehart
Ordained Minister in Kokomo, Indiana
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I chose to become an ordained minister online because my personal faith journey has always been rooted in openness, respect, and inclusion. While I do not follow a single religious denomination, I consider myself deeply spiritual and have spent my life learning from and participating in many faith traditions. I have attended services across denominations, prayed alongside people of different beliefs, and witnessed firsthand how meaningful these moments can be when approached with sincerity and respect.
As I explored traditional paths to ordination, I found that committing to one specific denomination felt limiting, not because of a lack of faith, but because I could not reconcile the idea that honoring and celebrating other belief systems might be viewed as a betrayal of my own. Becoming ordained online allowed me the freedom to honor my spirituality authentically while remaining fully present and supportive of others in theirs.
My goal as a minister is not to impose beliefs, but to serve. I want every individual or couple to feel welcomed, respected, and supported, regardless of their faith background, or lack thereof. I am committed to learning and honoring specific religious ceremonies and traditions for those who desire them, particularly for couples who may not be able to celebrate their union in a conventional or institutional setting. My ordination reflects my belief that love, commitment, and community transcend denomination, and that everyone deserves to have their moment honored in a way that feels true to them.
Where are you from?
I am originally from a small town in Maine, where I first learned the value of close-knit community. Growing up, I moved frequently throughout both my childhood and adulthood, an experience that shaped my adaptability and deep appreciation for people from all walks of life. Since January 2015, I have proudly called Kokomo, Indiana home, where I am rooted in the community and honored to serve those around me.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
What I hope to achieve with my ordination is simple: to serve. I want to help couples who wish to marry do so in a way that feels meaningful, authentic, and joyful to them. It is an honor to be invited into such an important moment, and my goal is to help make their day one filled with happiness, love, and connection, shared with the people who matter most to them.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Kokomo, IN wedding officiant?
I believe the most meaningful ceremonies are the ones that feel personal and intentional. I meet with couples to learn about them, their values, and their vision for their ceremony. From there, I create a customized officiant speech that reflects their relationship and wishes. Couples are always given the opportunity to review and approve the ceremony beforehand, so there are no surprises; only comfort, confidence, and joy on the day itself.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
While my listed rates and travel range cover most local ceremonies, I am open to traveling farther or accommodating longer ceremonies when requested. Additional costs may apply depending on distance and time, and I am always happy to discuss those details in advance so there are no surprises.
