Megan Jean Taylor
Ordained Minister in Pegasus, Canterbury
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I wanted to be the person who could: crack a joke at the right moment calm the nerves with humour keep it meaningful without being heavy make people laugh and cry (but mostly laugh)
It wasn’t about being holy or official or important. It was about creating ceremonies that felt like a celebration, not a chore.
Because love is serious — but the way we celebrate it doesn’t have to be

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Pegasus, CAN wedding officiant?
They’re not awkward — which, honestly, is a huge win.
No robotic scripts, no “is this still going?” moments, and no guests silently begging for the bar to open. I keep things light, personal, and very you — with a few laughs sprinkled in at the right moments.
I’m there to: calm the nerves crack a joke keep Nana engaged and legally marry you without making it weird
I take the important stuff seriously (paperwork, timing, the “you’re actually married” part), but the vibe stays relaxed and fun.
If you want a ceremony that feels like a celebration, not a lecture — I’ve got you.
