Dr Jeb Wolsleben D. Div
Ordained Minister in Grand Island, Nebraska
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
"I originally decided to become an ordained minister online because I believe that the power to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments should be accessible to everyone. I wanted to bridge the gap between traditional ceremony and the personal, unique needs of my community, allowing me to officiate weddings and provide support without the barriers of institutional gatekeeping. For me, it was about the freedom to focus on universal love and human connection, ensuring that anyone—regardless of their background or beliefs—could have their milestones honored with sincerity, compassion, and a personal touch

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
If I were to step into the role of an online minister, my goal would be to democratize the sacred by making meaningful life ceremonies accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or beliefs. I would hope to provide a bridge for those who feel "spiritually homeless," offering them a way to celebrate life’s most profound transitions—from weddings to memorials—without the barriers of rigid dogma or institutional gatekeeping. Ultimately, I would strive to create a radically inclusive space where the focus is entirely on the unique story and values of the individuals involved, ensuring that every milestone is honored with sincerity, compassion, and a deeply personal touch.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Grand Island, NE wedding officiant?
What truly sets my ceremonies apart is the belief that a wedding should be a vibrant reflection of a couple’s unique soul rather than a rigid adherence to tradition. By removing the constraints of standard, one-size-fits-all scripts, I am able to prioritize storytelling, weaving together the specific quirks, shared history, and private milestones that make a relationship one-of-a-kind. My ceremonies are special because they offer a radically inclusive, judgment-free space where the only requirement is love. Whether it’s blending diverse cultural traditions or incorporating deeply personal secular philosophies, I focus on creating an atmosphere that feels intimately authentic, ensuring that every word spoken resonates with the couple's true identity and the community they have built together.

Additional Information
Beyond the ceremonies themselves, I want my services to be a source of calm and creative partnership during what can often be a stressful planning process. I view my role not just as a speaker on the day of the event, but as a collaborative guide who helps you navigate the deeper meaning of your transition, whether that involves drafting custom vows that feel "just right" or providing a supportive, non-judgmental ear as you blend different family traditions. I am also deeply committed to flexibility and modernization, offering everything from completely secular "love-story" celebrations to eco-conscious ceremonies and digital gatherings for those with loved ones far away. Ultimately, my service is about empowerment—giving you the tools and the permission to celebrate your life exactly as you live it, with no detail too small and no love story too unconventional.
