I originally wanted to become an ordained minister to help marry people who didn't want to be married within an organized religious building for whatever reason.

I'm from Southeast Iowa, but willing to travel. I've lived and ministered on the Eastern Seaboard in Virginia, Maryland, and Florida, but came back to Southeast Iowa to raise babies.

My plan as an ordained ULC minister is to be obedient to God, to help people with whatever spiritual guidance I can, and to live a life worthy of the calling.

While I am a Christian, I respect all other forms of religion. I also want to be very clear that ULC is the only form of organized religion that I am a part of. I do not participate in any formal religious ceremony on a schedule. I meet God often, in private, and that is all anyone needs to know.

As a person who has been married over three decades, I understand the value of commitment, the purpose of a religious aspect, and the importance of honoring what a couple desires for their wedding experience. I also recognize that while we are excited about our love and commitment to one another, weddings bring a special kind of stress and excitement to all involved. I am able to calmly guide and encourage all members of the wedding party as we walk through the process, from engagement to the celebration. I'm a joyful person who can be very casual or very professional, depending on the expectations outlined at our meetings. I believe that love is the greatest gift given to humanity.
