Walter Brown
Ordained Minister in Burlington, New Jersey
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
As a child, my role model was the pastor at my church. Being raised in the church and in a family grounded in faith, I learned about God’s love and developed trust in Him to guide my life. I naturally gravitated toward doing what is right and understanding the difference between right and wrong.
I felt a strong calling to provide counseling, guidance, and support to others, to be the person God wants me to be, and to use my life to do His will. I strive to become a good steward of His teachings and to serve others with compassion.
Becoming ordained online was my first step toward fulfilling this calling, alongside completing my studies and pursuing a degree in ministry. This ordination formalized my commitment to serve faithfully and to continue growing spiritually and professionally in ministry.

Additional Information
I am a member of the Baptist faith, and my beliefs guide my personal life and ministry. Being raised in the church has shaped my understanding of God’s love, service, and the importance of living a life aligned with His teachings. My Baptist faith informs how I counsel, officiate ceremonies, and support families, while also allowing me to respect and accommodate couples and individuals from diverse religious backgrounds.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Burlington, NJ wedding officiant?
I believe my ceremonies are special because they are personalized, meaningful, and guided by faith. I take the time to truly understand the couple—their story, values, and vision for their special day—so that the ceremony reflects who they are as individuals and as a couple. Drawing from my faith and training as an ordained minister, I create a warm, heartfelt atmosphere where love, commitment, and family connections are honored.
I often incorporate scripture to inspire and bless the couple. For example, 1 Corinthians 13:4–7 reminds us: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” This verse serves as a foundation for the ceremony, emphasizing love and faithfulness.
My goal is to help couples feel fully present and supported, making the ceremony not just a formal event but a memorable and spiritually uplifting experience.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
My services are offered based on what you can afford, ensuring that no one is turned away or burdened financially. I believe that everyone should have access to meaningful, heartfelt ceremonies without experiencing hardship.
As scripture reminds us in 2 Corinthians 9:7: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” This principle guides my approach, allowing families to contribute according to their means while honoring the significance of the occasion.
