Norma J. Smith
Ordained Minister in Rockville, Maryland
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
Becoming a minister was something that I could do to help my clients have a seamless wedding. I was working as an event planner and from time to time had an officiant not show up. Instead of someone rushing to get ordained I decided to become one myself. If a couple can plan together they can deal with the other stresses of married life. Changes are hard and accepting a new person into your life, baggage and all is hard. Getting though that stronger is a sign that they can have a sucessful marriage.
Where are you from?
I was born in New York raised in Long Island until college. Went to college in MA. Met my husband in 1985 and got married in 1990. We're still together, stronger than ever having lived in CA, CT, AL, AK, HI, IL, MD and moving soon to a new state as we enter our retirement.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
It's been just over 10 years since I was ordained and I still love to help people write their special vows and be just a small part of their day.
