Nikota Jean Ironshell
Ordained Minister in Arlee, Montana
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
So getting ordained online felt less like a decision and more like answering a calling. A soft, persistent pull from something old, something kind, something cosmic. I wanted to be someone who could stand with people in their sacred moments—someone who could blend humor, heart, and a little bit of wild magic into something meaningful.
Becoming a minister wasn’t about following a path. It was about realizing the path had been following me the whole time.
Where are you from?
Montana – born and shaped by big skies, river water, and the kind of silence that teaches you things on the homelands of my people. The land that raised me, humbled me, and taught me to listen
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I want to create ceremonies that feel like a breath of fresh Montana air—real, grounded, a little funny, and a little spiritual; I want to bring a new flavor of sacred energy—equal parts spiritual, hilarious, and cosmic. My goal is to create ceremonies that feel like a river moment: flowing, honest, peaceful, and a little wild around the edges. I want couples to feel like the universe, the ancestors, and maybe even a tipsy river spirit are cheering them on. Weddings deserve magic, not monotony.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Arlee, MT wedding officiant?
I bring grounding energy with a side of mischief. My ceremonies feel personal and alive—like a campfire story that somehow turns into a spiritual awakening. I notice the little things: the way a couple laughs together, breathes together, or tries not to cry together. I blend that into the ceremony so it feels like their story, not a generic Hallmark template. Also, let’s be honest—if something chaotic happens (wind, nerves, a rogue toddler), I’m the minister who rolls with it like it was part of the ritual all along.
Types of Service Offered

Additional Information
I customize everything—tone, style, vibe, intensity. Whether you want a short-and-sweet river-blessing style ceremony, a heartfelt cosmic soulmate speech, or a wedding that feels like the ancestors pulled up with a drumbeat and a wink, I adapt. I honor culture, spirituality, humor, and authenticity. I’m professional when needed, reverent when it matters, and delightfully chaotic when the moment calls for it. If you want your wedding to feel like a sacred moment blessed by the Church of River Beer, cosmic timing, and good-hearted mischief—then I’m your minister.
