Varuna Shunglu
Ordained Minister in Goa, Goa
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
Because I was asked my close friends to marry them. It was the greatest honour.
Where are you from?
Goa
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I want to get ordained as a minister because I feel a deep calling to serve, guide, and uplift people during the most meaningful moments of their lives. Over the years, I have discovered that my greatest sense of purpose comes from helping others find clarity, comfort, and connection—whether through spiritual conversations, emotional support, or community-building practices. Becoming ordained allows me to formalize this calling and step into a role where compassion, integrity, and service are central.
I am drawn to the idea of creating safe, inclusive spaces where people can explore their beliefs, heal, and grow. My personal journey has taught me the value of resilience, faith, and supportive leadership. As a minister, I want to share these lessons and be a grounding presence for others navigating their own challenges.
Ordination also gives me the opportunity to officiate ceremonies—weddings, blessings, rites of passage—that honour life’s transitions with meaning and authenticity. Ultimately, I want to be of service in a way that aligns with my values: kindness, empathy, and the desire to make a positive difference. Becoming a minister feels like a natural extension of who I am and who I aspire to be.
