Monica Lynn Chase
Ordained Minister in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister to honor the sacredness of the work I do. As a somatic, holistic, and trauma-informed facilitator specializing in bereavement, I walk beside people during some of the most vulnerable and transformative moments of their lives. Becoming ordained allows me to hold that space with deeper spiritual responsibility, integrity, and reverence.
As a lifelong practitioner of witchcraft and earth-based spirituality, I believe healing is both physical and spiritual. Ordainment weaves my path together — my empathy, my rituals, my intuitive gifts, and my commitment to supporting others through loss, transition, and renewal. It gives me the ability to serve my community on a deeper level, blending ancient wisdom with compassionate modern care.

Additional Information
I believe that every one of us is made from the same ancient elements — stardust, matter, energy, and memory shaped across billions of years. We are not separate from one another; we are expressions of the same cosmic breath. The atoms that make up our bodies once belonged to oceans, mountains, ancestors, planets, and stars.
Because of this, every person I meet is both familiar and sacred — a reflection of the same universal source that lives within me. We are each a spark of consciousness traveling through time and experience, learning, healing, loving, and transforming.
This belief guides all of my work as a minister, a healer, and a companion in trauma and grief. When I sit with someone, I sit with a piece of the universe. When I hold space, I honor the cosmic lineage we all share. When I offer compassion, grounding, or ceremony, it comes from the understanding that we are intertwined — not by accident, but by the design of creation itself.
We are relevant because we exist. We are connected because we are the universe made alive. We are never alone, because even in our smallest moments, we carry the infinite within us.
This is the heart of my ministry. This is the truth I offer to every client, every community circle, and every soul who seeks guidance.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Philadelphia, PA wedding officiant?
My ceremonies are special because they are entirely heart-led, intuitive, and tailored to the soul of the couple. I do not recite generic scripts—I craft sacred moments that reflect who the couple truly is.
As a trauma-informed, holistic, empathic minister, I bring:
A deep ability to read energy, honor emotions, and create a space where everyone feels safe, grounded, and included. A personalized approach, learning each couple’s story, dynamic, values, and spiritual path so the ceremony feels like them, not a template. Gentle presence and calm leadership, supporting nervous brides, overwhelmed grooms, or anyone carrying emotional weight into the moment. Spiritual depth, weaving in optional elements such as blessing rituals, handfasting, intention-setting, ancestral acknowledgement, or elemental symbolism. Inclusivity, honoring all belief systems—religious, spiritual, secular, witchcraft/pagan, queer, poly, non-traditional, or blended. Authenticity and emotional resonance, creating ceremonies that feel beautiful, transformative, and unforgettable.
I don’t just conduct weddings—I guide couples through a sacred moment of connection, transition, and unity. Every ceremony is an experience, a blessing, and a memory designed with love.
