Reverend Ciara Carver

I first became ordained in 2005 and renewed my ordination in 2009. I walk a different path now, but chose ordination to formalize completing Wiccan High Priestess initiation.

I was born here in the peach state then spent a portion of my childhood in Florida and North Carolina before returning to my hometown. I've called North Georgia home ever since.

My hope is to be of help and service to my community.

My own religious understanding is heavily rooted in the natural world, but the weddings I perform are not limited to my own beliefs. I've married people of many faiths: Christian, Wiccan, Jewish, Atheist, Buddhist, etc and am quite comfortable working within the couple's beliefs.

I think my ceremonies are genuinely special because I try to center and focus on the couple before me. I write each ceremony to be unique to the couple I'm working with. I love hearing their love stories and tailoring a script that is exactly right for them. I have been a lifelong poet and writer, I was also a magazine editor for many years and I adore writing with words.

I've performed weddings all over Georgia as well as in North Carolina and Tennessee. I'm genuinely very willing to travel most anywhere as long as travel fees can be negotiated.

Over the years, I've seen and experienced everything you can imagine from a wedding. I've helped sew a torn strap on a bridal gown, helped relocate decorations for unexpected rain, assisted with childcare, made emergency runs for everything from bandaids to bouquets. I'm always willing to help in any way I can to make the day perfect.
