Gerardo Salcedo Castaneda
Ordained Minister in Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I chose to become an ordained minister online because I deeply believe in the transformative power of love and in the importance of marriage as one of the fundamental pillars of society. I see each union as the beginning of a new family — a foundation where values, commitment, and hope are built. Becoming a minister gives me the opportunity to accompany couples through this profound moment, guiding them with respect, inclusion, and a spiritual vision of love.
Where are you from?
I am from Mexico, a country that treasures family, faith, and the unity between people. Although my ordination was carried out in the United States, my vocation knows no borders. I wish to serve both in Mexico and in the United States, sharing a universal message of love, respect, and spirituality with every couple I have the honor to unite.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My goal is to offer authentic and meaningful ceremonies that reflect the noblest values of the human spirit. I want to create spaces where every couple feels valued, respected, and spiritually supported. Through my ministry, I aim to strengthen the institution of marriage, promote inclusion and mutual respect, and leave a positive mark on each love story I am blessed to be part of.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Nezahualcoyotl, MEX wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies truly special is the intention behind them — each one is personalized to reflect the unique love story, values, and spiritual connection of the couple. I believe that a wedding should not only be a formal event but also a heartfelt experience that celebrates unity, respect, and authenticity. My goal is to create a meaningful atmosphere where love is honored in its purest form, regardless of background, culture, or belief.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I am currently based in Mexico City, a place full of history, culture, and human energy. It’s a city that beautifully blends tradition with modernity, and every corner has a story to tell. I’m inspired by its diversity, resilience, and the warmth of its people.
I especially enjoy visiting peaceful and beautiful places — parks, ancient temples, and charming towns around the city. I feel a special connection with places where Mexico’s spiritual essence can be felt: its mountains, its colors, and its people. In those spaces, I find inspiration for my ceremonies and for continuing to share love, respect, and harmony in every union I am blessed to officiate.
