Ladarius Davis
Ordained Minister in Jacksonville, Florida
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because I wanted to be able to officiate a close friend’s wedding. It was such an important moment in their lives, and I felt honored to be part of it in a meaningful way. After going through the process, I realized it also gave me a chance to help others celebrate life’s milestones — weddings, memorials, and other special occasions — in a personal and heartfelt way. What started as something I did for a friend ended up becoming a way for me to connect more deeply with people and serve my community.

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
the ability to make a positive difference in people’s lives. I want to be able to officiate weddings, offer support during major life events, and provide guidance or comfort to those who need it. For me, it’s not just about the title — it’s about being someone others can turn to during important or challenging moments. I also see it as a way to deepen my own spiritual understanding and to serve my community in a meaningful, inclusive, and compassionate way.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Jacksonville, FL wedding officiant?
he personal connection I try to create with each couple. I take the time to get to know their story — how they met, what they love about each other, and what kind of atmosphere they want for their big day. I believe every ceremony should reflect the couple’s unique personality and values, whether that means adding humor, cultural traditions, or heartfelt moments. My goal is to make the ceremony feel genuine, memorable, and meaningful — not just for the couple, but for everyone present.
