Timothy Alves
Ordained Minister in Austin, Minnesota
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I first became an ordained minister online in 2019 when a close friend asked me to officiate his wedding. I was honored by his trust with such a request. Since then, I’ve had the joy of officiating my sister’s wedding, and her ceremony has reminded me how special it is to be part of such important moments in people’s lives. Becoming ordained opened the door for me to help others celebrate love, commitment, and connection in a way that feels genuine and personal.
Where are you from?
I’m originally from the Midwest, where I grew up in Minnesota. The strong sense of community and genuine kindness of the people there have had a lasting influence on my values and the way I connect with others through my ministry work.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to create meaningful connections and help people celebrate life’s most important moments with sincerity and warmth. Whether it’s officiating weddings, offering guidance, or simply being a source of support, I want to bring comfort, joy, and understanding to others. My goal is to make each ceremony and interaction personal, genuine, and memorable for everyone involved.

What makes my ceremonies special is the personal connection I build with each couple. I take time to understand their story, values, and what makes their relationship unique.
