Kiara Chocho
Ordained Minister in Phillipsburg, New Jersey
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I am a theologian currently serving as a teacher within the same field. Through this calling, I have come to recognize a deep vocation for teaching—particularly in the ministry of the Word of God. My desire is to faithfully impart the truths of Scripture, striving for interpretations that are as close as possible to the original meaning, using the theological tools and methods I have received through my formation. Four years ago, I had the profound honor of officiating my brother’s wedding as a minister—an experience that affirmed my sense of purpose and inspired me to continue serving in meaningful and sacred moments such as these.

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
Through my online ordination, I hope to expand my ability to serve others in a meaningful and spiritually grounded way. My primary goal is to be able to officiate weddings, funerals, and other sacred ceremonies with both theological integrity and pastoral sensitivity. I see this ordination as a formal step that affirms my calling and equips me to minister more fully within my community, particularly in moments of deep spiritual significance. It is also an opportunity to continue growing in service, guided by Scripture and the example of Christ.

When Jesus came to earth, He did not represent a denomination—He simply walked in obedience to the Father, God. All I can say is that I believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
