MaDonna Feather Cruz
Ordained Minister in Santa Rosa, California
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because I wanted to create a sacred space for healing and ceremony within my community without barriers or restrictions. My calling has always been to serve, to pray with people, to comfort families, and to honor our traditions in ways that are inclusive and accessible. Becoming ordained allowed me to legally officiate ceremonies, offer blessings, and hold space for those seeking spiritual connection, healing, and cultural grounding. It wasn’t about a title, it was about answering a deeper spiritual call to serve my people with love, respect, and integrity.
Where are you from?

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
Through my online ordination, I hope to continue building bridges between faith, culture, and healing. My goal is to serve my community in ways that honor both traditional Native teachings and modern spiritual practices, offering ceremonies, prayers, and guidance rooted in love, respect, and cultural identity. I want to ensure that people, especially our youth and families, have access to someone who understands their journey and can walk beside them in times of joy, loss, or transformation. Ultimately, my hope is to use this ordination to create more healing spaces, strengthen cultural connection, and bring peace and purpose to those I serve.

Additional Information
My spiritual foundation is deeply rooted in Native traditions, prayer, and a connection to Creator. While I honor all paths of faith, my practice centers around Native values, respect for the land, the ancestors, and the sacredness of all life. I believe spirituality is not confined to a building or denomination; it’s a way of living with gratitude, humility, and love. My ordination allows me to serve people from many walks of life while still honoring the cultural and spiritual teachings that guide me. I walk in faith every day, carrying both traditional and interfaith understanding to bring healing and unity wherever I’m called to serve.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Santa Rosa, CA wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is the intention and spirit I bring into each one. Every couple has a unique story, and I take the time to honor that, weaving in their love, culture, and values in a way that feels authentic and sacred to them. I blend traditional Native teachings, prayer, and blessings with personalized touches that reflect the couple’s journey and dreams. My goal is to create a space where everyone feels the presence of love, ancestors, and community, where the ceremony becomes not just a legal union, but a spiritual and emotional experience that’s remembered for a lifetime.
