Jason Wurtenberger
Ordained Minister in La Verne, California
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because I felt called to help people honor life’s most meaningful milestones in ways that truly reflect their values and beliefs. I believe spirituality is deeply personal, and many individuals and couples seek ceremonies that feel authentic without being bound by rigid traditions. Online ordination gave me the opportunity to serve inclusively, creating respectful and meaningful experiences for those who might not otherwise feel represented by traditional clergy. For me, this work is about providing dignity, compassion, and a sense of sacredness to pivotal moments in people’s lives.
Where are you from?
I reside and am registered in California. I am also registered in New York City. I am also willing to register and travel anywhere for your special event.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
With my online ordination, I hope to provide individuals, couples, and families with ceremonies that are both meaningful and inclusive, regardless of their religious or cultural background. My goal is to create spaces where people feel truly seen and supported during life’s most important milestones, whether they are celebrating love, grieving a loss, or marking personal growth. I want to bridge the gap between tradition and individuality by offering ceremonies that carry both dignity and authenticity, while empowering people to honor their spirituality in ways that feel true to them. Ultimately, I see this work as a way to serve others with compassion, accessibility, and respect, making sacred moments deeply personal and memorable.

While I personally hold spiritual values, my focus as a minister is on helping individuals, couples, and families celebrate their milestones in ways that are authentic and meaningful to them. I approach all faiths, traditions, and belief systems with openness and respect, ensuring that every ceremony reflects the values and wishes of the people involved rather than imposing my own.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a La Verne, CA wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special as a wedding officiant is the level of care and personalization I bring to each couple’s experience. I take the time to understand their story, values, and vision so that the ceremony reflects who they truly are. My approach balances professionalism with warmth—I ensure the legal and formal details are handled seamlessly while creating a heartfelt and welcoming atmosphere. I also prioritize inclusivity and respect, making sure couples of all backgrounds and beliefs feel authentically represented. Beyond the words of the ceremony, I bring a calm, supportive presence that helps couples feel grounded and fully present in the moment. Together, these elements allow me to create ceremonies that are meaningful, memorable, and unique to every couple I serve.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I am happy to travel to a wide range of locations to officiate ceremonies for an extra fee, but I do have particular experience with venues and communities in the southern California areas. This experience has allowed me to become familiar with local regulations, popular venues, and logistical considerations, which helps ensure that each ceremony runs smoothly. I also enjoy traveling to new locations and am comfortable adapting to different settings, whether it’s a traditional venue, an outdoor ceremony, or a private home.
