Alisha C Taylor
Ordained Minister in Greer, South Carolina
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister because I believe everyone deserves the chance to celebrate love and life in a way that feels true to them. For me, ordination is about opening doors, not closing them—it’s about being present for people during life’s most meaningful moments.
Whether it’s a wedding, baptism, or farewell, I want to stand alongside friends and family to offer comfort, tradition, and ritual when it matters most. This step reflects my heart for service, my respect for spiritual freedom, and my joy in helping others mark life’s milestones in a supportive and uplifting way.
Where are you from?
I grew up in a small community in central North Carolina, where my family has lived on the same road since receiving a land grant back in 1753. For generations, we’ve poured our hearts into building and caring for the places that hold a community together—churches, schools, gathering spaces, and even cemeteries. I’m proud to carry on that tradition of caring for people in every season of life.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I became an ordained minister because I believe that life’s most important moments deserve to be marked with love, authenticity, and care. My hope is to walk alongside people I love—and those I’ve yet to meet—during times of joy and sorrow alike. Whether it’s a wedding, baptism, funeral, or another milestone, I want to create space where tradition and meaning can meet each person’s unique story. For me, ordination is about opening doors, not closing them—it’s about offering comfort, belonging, and celebration without barriers or exclusion. Above all, I hope to bring a spirit of kindness and inclusivity into every ceremony, so that everyone feels seen, supported, and uplifted.

Additional Information
My faith journey is rooted in inclusivity and respect for many traditions. While I honor my own Christian heritage, I also embrace interfaith perspectives and the spiritual richness that comes from learning across communities. I believe every person’s path holds value, and that love, compassion, and service are the true common ground of faith. My ministry reflects that openness—welcoming people of all backgrounds and honoring life’s milestones in ways that feel authentic and meaningful to them.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Greer, SC wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is the heart I put into making each one deeply personal and meaningful. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach—every ceremony is shaped around the people at its center, their stories, their traditions, and the values they hold dear. I take time to listen, to understand, and to weave those details into something that feels authentic, heartfelt, and uniquely theirs.
