Rev. A. Ransford
Ordained Minister in San Pedro, California
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister because I believe sacred authority can be claimed outside traditional walls. My calling wasn’t born in a pulpit—it rose from grief, love, and the need to offer comfort and clarity to those navigating emotional storms. For whatever transition you may be planning to honor choose a minister with authenticity, who will honor the spiritual without compromising the personal.
Where are you from?
Originally from Riverside California, I have been blessed with the experiences of living in Big Bear located in the San Bernardino mountains, as well as on Catalina Island and am currently located in the coastal Port town community of San Pedro, California.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to create space where people feel seen, soothed, and spiritually affirmed. Whether it’s officiating a wedding, guiding someone through loss, or crafting a spoken word ceremony that cracks open the heart, I want my ordination to be a tool for healing, empowerment, and emotional truth. I aim to serve the overlooked, the unconventional, and the deeply feeling. My services are provided on a sliding scale so that money never becomes a barrier.

Additional Information
I walk a spiritual path that honors many traditions but answers to none exclusively. My ministry is interfaith, inclusive, and emotionally grounded. I draw from scripture, poetry, and lived experience—whatever speaks truth in the moment. I believe the divine shows up in grief, in love, in rebellion, and in quiet grace. My faith is fluid, fierce, and deeply personal.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a San Pedro, CA wedding officiant?
My ceremonies are emotionally tailored, poetic, and unforgettable. I don’t just recite vows—I weave the couple’s story into a ritual that feels sacred, rebellious, and deeply personal. I listen for the heartbeat beneath the love, and I speak to it. Whether it’s a barefoot beach elopement or a candlelit vow renewal, I make sure every word lands with meaning and magic.
