Jacobus T. Hendricks
Ordained Minister in Peyton, Colorado
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I have received ordination as a minister, which has granted me the privilege of officiating weddings in reverence before God. This sacred responsibility allows me to serve couples as they enter into covenant, ensuring their union is not only recognized legally, but more importantly, grounded in biblical truth and blessed in the presence of the Lord (Ephesians 5:31–32).
In addition, my ordination has prepared me to serve as an Assistant Pastor. In this role, I am committed to walking alongside others in their journey of faith, offering biblical guidance, discipleship, and spiritual support. I believe deeply in Christ’s commission to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19), and I see this calling as both a duty and an honor.
Part of my desire to help others walk with Christ comes from my own personal journey of faith. I once was a quiet young man, hesitant to stand up for myself and unsure of my voice. Yet through God’s strength and grace, I have grown into someone unafraid to speak truth, advocate, and serve boldly in His name. My favorite Scripture, Joshua 1:9—“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”—has been my constant reminder that God’s presence gives me the courage to live and serve faithfully.
My prayer is that in both officiating sacred unions and serving the Church as an Assistant Pastor, I may reflect Christ’s love and help others grow in their relationship with Him.
