Anastasia Aughenbaugh
Ordained Minister in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister online because I felt called to serve people in one of life’s most sacred and joyful moments—marriage. Love is powerful, and I wanted to be able to honor couples of all backgrounds, beliefs, and stories in a way that is personal, inclusive, and meaningful. Getting ordained through the Universal Life Church gave me the freedom to do exactly that—meet people where they are, celebrate their unique journey, and help them create a ceremony that feels true to them

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
With my online ordination, I hope to create space for love to be celebrated without barriers. My goal is to serve couples in a way that reflects their values, honors their story, and brings peace and joy to their special day. I want to be a bridge—whether that means offering a heartfelt ceremony, guiding couples through the details, or simply making sure they feel seen and supported. Ultimately, I hope to use this ordination to spread kindness, celebrate commitment, and remind people that love is worth cherishing every single day.

Additional Information
I consider myself non-denominational, which allows me to serve couples of all backgrounds with openness and respect. My personal faith is rooted in believing in Jesus and the hope His love brings, but I don’t use ceremonies as a place to push my beliefs. Instead, I let my faith guide me in how I show up—with compassion, integrity, and joy. For couples who want a religious tone, I can honor that. For couples who prefer a non-religious or spiritual focus, I can honor that too. At the heart of it all, my role is to celebrate love in the way that feels right for each couple.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a INDIANAPOLIS, IN wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is the heart I put into them. I don’t just read words off a page—I get to know each couple, their story, their quirks, their dreams, and I weave that into a ceremony that feels like them. My style is a mix of warmth, joy, and just enough humor to keep everyone smiling, while still honoring the sacredness of the moment. I want guests to walk away thinking, “That ceremony was so them.” Every detail is intentional, and every word is meant to remind the couple why they chose each other, not just for that day, but for every day after.

Additional Information
As a minister, I provide more than just the words for a ceremony—I provide presence, guidance, and care. I believe every couple deserves a ceremony that feels authentic to who they are, whether it’s a simple elopement in the park, a vow renewal at a backyard barbecue, or a full celebration surrounded by family and friends. I also offer planning and coordination support, because I know that sometimes love needs a little help staying organized. My goal is always the same: to take away stress, add joy, and make sure couples feel celebrated, not just on their wedding day, but in the life they’re building together.
