Zachary Marcovitch
Ordained Minister in Knoxville, Tennessee
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
With all the laws being passed discriminating against the LGBTQIA2S+ community (my community) I wanted to ensure that there was always access to a minister who would officiate a wedding regardless of gender or sexual orientation.
Where are you from?
I was born in Oklahoma, adopted as an infant was moved to Hawaii till I was about 1 when we moved to California, I have since lived in Washington, New Mexico, Utah, Oklahoma, and have settled near the Appalachians in Tennessee.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My main goal is to ensure consenting adults will always have access to a minister who will perform a ceremony and make their marriage legal.
Religious Affiliations
Norse Religion, Universal Life Church
Additional Information
While I am Norse pagan, I am happy to officiate any wedding, renewal or funeral. If you have a specific script you would like me to use I am happy to accommodate.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Knoxville, TN wedding officiant?
My “speech” for the wedding (outside of legal requirements, or requests from the marriage partners) is usually not pre scripted. I try to keep it short and sweet. After all, this isn’t about me, it’s about you and your commitment to each other.
Types of Service Offered
Marriages, Same-Sex Marriages, Renewal of Vows, Funerals
Additional Information
I’ve been married for 16 years, my partner and I have 3 children together. I am willing to travel anywhere within a days drive, as long as there is a bed for me to sleep in. The only exception being Florida, unfortunately I cannot with good conscience do my work in that state for now. Things may change in the future but for now it is unfortunately not somewhere I will go.
