Robert Jordan
Ordained Minister in Hampton, South Carolina
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
A call to his service. This call has been 60 years in the making. Early in life 8 years of Catholic Schooling. 47 years building and sharing my life and religion never being close to the "Cloth". Then came the full stop to my life as I knew it.Physically Paralyzed looking upward at the ceiling I argued with God. It was not a barter, it was not a trade I simply listened. I listened to what had been said to me many times since I had been a child " Robert you should be a Preacher." I took several exams online. Realizing I had a way to give back and fulfilling that voice I engaged in more studies, gaining more qualifications certificates. Not having the means nor the ways to attend college I filed for my ordainment with Universal Life Church.
Where are you from?
I was born to wonderful parents with two other children in 1963. Back then it was the rural town named North Attleborough, Massachusetts. I lived there and in the close area, raising my family until 2002. After remarrying we moved south settling in North Carolina. In 2012 I moved part-time to South Carolina to help a sickly friend save their farm. After the passing of my wife to cancer in 2016 I permanently moved to South Carolina.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I opened a Ministry from my nursing home room and have since moved to my own home where I minister and teach. My purpose of operation is I am not here to push God on you. I am here to show you his way through the Ministry's work. Our doctrine is based on many people from Biblical James 4:17 "whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin". or the workings of Martin Luther king Jr."s quote "the time is always right to do the right thing" from his 1961 speech. Our mission is to do no harm.
