Evylyn Rose

I chose to become an ordained minister online to fulfill legal requirements for future services for my Tarot and spiritual services business, Evylyn Rose LLC. That said, I am a long-time fan of Universal Life Church, its mission, and the positive role it plays in ensuring First Amendment rights are honored for all of us and removing the hurdles that can prevent good, dedicated people from doing good, fulfilling work.

After growing up in Wilmington, DE and Elkton, MD, the Army took me to Alaska. After my service, I spent several years in Colorado and Virginia before returning to my home in Newark, DE.

I am hoping to provide spiritual and religious services to my local community and fill gaps in religious group representation for legal spiritual services in the New Castle County, DE and surrounding areas.

I self-describe as a "Wiccan-flavored Witch". My foundational religious learning took place through Roman Catholicism (St. Hedwig's in Wilmington, DE) and I was fortunate enough to be exposed to other churches within Christianity. Although I am still affiliated with the Liberal Catholic Church from my time in Colorado, today, I am an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark (UUFN) and their Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS) chapter. I consider these as my religious affiliations, while I continue to find my own religious path is deeply Pagan and Witchcraft with my approach to and understanding of them heavily influenced by a Wiccan lens.

I generally prefer the Newark, DE area as it is where I am most familiar with the community and potential venues. However, I serve New Castle County and the surrounding areas as needed.

My services are tailored to those I serve and I strive to fully honor the needs and wishes of others. Given my religious affiliations and personal religious path, my style and approach is often informed by Wicca and modern Pagan paths with some ties to other metaphysical practices and my Catholic upbringing.
