Cara Crimmins
Ordained Minister in Kahului, Hawaii
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister to expand the ways I can serve others—spiritually, emotionally, and ceremonially. Whether it’s officiating weddings, leading healing circles, offering words of comfort during life’s hardest moments, or blessing new beginnings, my ordination is a tool to help me meet people exactly where they are. I wanted the freedom to serve in diverse settings, from traditional ceremonies to unconventional, heart-centered gatherings, without limitation.
Where are you from?
I was born in a small town called Fredonia, New York—a place that taught me the value of community and connection. My path then led me to California, where I spent over 11 years exploring diverse regions and meeting people from all walks of life. After a brief chapter in North Carolina, I felt the call of the Pacific and made my home in Maui, Hawai‘i. Each place I’ve lived has shaped my heart and ministry, giving me a deeper understanding of the beauty and challenges of the human journey.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My goal is to bring love into action in every interaction, helping people mark their most important life moments with meaning, authenticity, and grace. Through my ordination, I aim to create spaces of healing, celebration, and spiritual connection—whether that’s joining two hearts in marriage, guiding someone through loss, or holding sacred space for personal transformation. Ultimately, I want those I serve to walk away feeling more connected to themselves, to each other, and to the divine love that is always present.
Religious Affiliations

Additional Information
I am a non-denominational minister, which means my ministry is rooted in love, compassion, and respect for all spiritual paths. My work is guided not by a single doctrine, but by the universal belief that we are all connected and deserving of kindness, dignity, and grace. I honor and welcome people of all faiths—or no formal faith at all—and create ceremonies and services that reflect the values, traditions, and beliefs that matter most to those I serve.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Kahului, HI wedding officiant?
My ceremonies are deeply personal, heartfelt, and tailored to reflect the unique love story of each couple. I take time to truly get to know the people I’m marrying—their journey, their values, and the vision they have for their marriage—so the ceremony feels like them in every word and moment. I bring a warm, compassionate presence, weaving together meaningful traditions, personal vows, and moments of lighthearted joy. My goal is for every guest to walk away feeling the love in the air and for the couple to remember their ceremony as a sacred, joy-filled beginning to their next chapter.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
Maui offers an abundance of breathtaking locations for ceremonies—from golden beaches and lush tropical gardens to dramatic cliffs and serene upcountry settings. I know the island well and can help couples choose the perfect spot that matches their vision, whether they want something intimate and tucked away or grand and scenic. I also have easy access to the outer Hawaiian Islands, each with its own unique beauty and charm. And while Hawai‘i is home, my heart and ministry are not bound by geography—when the right opportunity or calling arises, I am open to traveling anywhere in the world to help create a meaningful, love-filled ceremony.
