Rachel
Ordained Minister in Charleston, South Carolina
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister online because I wanted to be able to show up for the people I care about in a more personal way—especially during life’s big moments. Living in Charleston, where history and hospitality go hand in hand, I’ve always believed in the importance of meaningful ceremony. Whether it’s a wedding under the live oaks or a quiet moment of remembrance by the water, I want to help create experiences that feel genuine, warm, and grounded.
My ministry isn’t tied to a specific church—it’s more about offering a calm, steady presence when people need it most. I value inclusivity, kindness, and the beauty of tradition without rigidity. To me, being ordained is about holding space, honoring stories, and helping people feel seen and supported, wherever they are in life.
