Carmelina Coppola
Ordained Minister in Iselin, New Jersey
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church because I wanted to offer a deeper level of support to the families and couples I work with. As a holistic practitioner and parent educator, I often walk alongside people during life’s biggest transitions—marriage, parenthood, blending families. Becoming ordained felt like a natural extension of the heart-centered work I already do. It allows me to create and officiate meaningful, inclusive ceremonies that reflect each couple’s values, love, and journey. I chose the online path because it was accessible and aligned with my calling to serve authentically and compassionately, without unnecessary barriers.
Where are you from?
I’m originally from New Jersey, with deep Italian roots that have shaped my values around family, tradition, and heartfelt connection. Growing up in a close-knit Italian-American household taught me the importance of honoring life’s milestones with meaning and presence. Today, I feel grateful to serve couples and families across New Jersey, bringing that same warmth and intention into every ceremony I lead
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
With my online ordination, I hope to offer couples and families a deeply personal, inclusive, and heart-centered experience—one that honors their values, cultures, and unique journey. My goal is to make love and commitment ceremonies more accessible, meaningful, and intentional, especially for those who may not feel fully seen in traditional spaces. I also see this as an extension of my holistic work supporting people not just in ceremony, but through major life transitions like marriage, parenthood, and the blending of families. It’s about holding space with love and creating moments that truly matter.

Additional Information
I consider myself spiritually open and inclusive, which allows me to honor and support people from all walks of life—regardless of religious background, belief system, or cultural tradition. My ordination through the Universal Life Church supports that inclusivity, and my ceremonies can be spiritual, secular, or interfaith based on the couple’s needs. While I was raised with Italian Catholic roots, my personal path has led me to a more holistic, heart-led approach that centers love, connection, and intention above all.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Iselin, NJ wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is the heart and intention I bring to every couple’s story. I take the time to truly understand who they are—individually and together—so the ceremony feels like an honest reflection of their love, values, and vision. With my background in holistic wellness and parent education, I create a calm, grounded space where couples feel safe, seen, and celebrated. Whether it’s a spiritual, secular, or interfaith ceremony, I weave in thoughtful touches like vow guidance, family rituals, and inclusive language to make it deeply meaningful and memorable.
