Dalia Vences
Ordained Minister in Burlington, North Carolina
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because I’ve always been deeply moved by the power of love — especially the sacred bond between two people committing their lives to each other. Being able to stand with couples on one of the most meaningful days of their lives, to speak words that celebrate love, unity, and hope, felt like both a privilege and a calling. Online ordination allowed me to step into that role and be part of those beautiful, transformative moments.
Where are you from?
I was born in Asheboro, North Carolina, and spent most of my childhood there. In 8th grade, my family moved to Alamance County. I’m proud of my Mexican heritage, and I carry both my cultural and spiritual roots with me in the way I connect with others.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
With my online ordination, I hope to create meaningful, heartfelt experiences for couples and individuals during some of life’s most important moments. Whether it’s uniting two people in love, offering words of comfort, or simply being a source of peace and support, my goal is to serve with sincerity and compassion. I want to help people feel seen, valued, and spiritually uplifted—no matter who they are or where they come from.

Additional Information
In addition to my standard fee, I kindly ask that each couple or family make a donation—of any amount—to a religious organization or spiritual community that means something to them. If they’re not religious, I encourage them to give to a cause or charity they care about. It’s my way of helping us all give back while celebrating love and connection.
I’m also very open to personalizing each ceremony. If there’s something specific you’d like me to say or include in the speech—stories, traditions, cultural elements—I’m more than happy to discuss and incorporate it. My goal is to make every ceremony meaningful, authentic, and true to who you are.
