Brandon Shopay
Ordained Minister in Heber City, Utah
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
became an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church because I value the freedom to support and serve others in a meaningful way—without the bureaucracy and red tape of traditional institutions. I wanted to be able to officiate weddings for friends and family, provide spiritual support when asked, and bring a grounded, practical perspective to moments that matter in people’s lives.
Where are you from?
I’m from Heber City, Utah—a close-knit mountain town with deep community roots and a strong sense of tradition. I’ve always appreciated how faith, family, and service come together in everyday life here.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My goal is simple: to be available to those who need someone they can trust to show up with respect, sincerity, and no agenda. Whether it's officiating a wedding, helping someone through a tough time, or just listening, I want to be a steady presence for those who ask. I’m not trying to build a congregation—I’m here to be of service when called on.
