Naomi Nadea
Ordained Minister in Canada, Ontario
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because, as an immigrant trans woman of colour, I witnessed firsthand the discrimination faced by members of the LGBTQIA+ community—especially when it comes to access to marriage and spiritual services. I wanted to be a voice and a presence for those who are too often marginalized or denied the dignity they deserve. My ministry was born out of a passion for justice, representation, and love, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ rights and international advocacy. I am committed to standing up for those who cannot always speak for themselves, and I will never stop fighting for their human rights.
Where are you from?
Saint Lucia and Canada
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
With my online ordination, I hope to create inclusive, affirming spaces where LGBTQIA+ individuals—especially those from marginalized backgrounds—can access the same spiritual rights and ceremonies as anyone else. I want to challenge the systems that exclude or harm our communities by offering love, dignity, and visibility in sacred moments like marriage. Ultimately, I aim to use my role as a minister to advocate on both a personal and international level for human rights, equality, and justice for all.
Religious Affiliations

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Canada, ON wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special as a wedding officiant is the deep intentionality and inclusivity I bring to every celebration. As an immigrant trans woman of colour, I understand how powerful it is to be fully seen and honoured for who you are. I create personalized, affirming ceremonies that reflect each couple’s unique story, culture, and identity—especially for those in the LGBTQIA+ community who have often been excluded from traditional spaces. My approach is rooted in love, respect, and joy, with a focus on making every moment meaningful, authentic, and empowering.

Additional Information
Yes—beyond weddings, my ministry offers a range of inclusive spiritual and ceremonial services designed to uplift and support those who are often left out of traditional religious spaces. This includes memorials, name change blessings, coming out ceremonies, and other rites of passage that honor identity, resilience, and transformation. I approach every service with compassion, cultural awareness, and a deep commitment to justice. Whether local or international, my goal is to hold space for healing, celebration, and affirmation—especially for LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, and anyone seeking a safe, sacred experience rooted in dignity and love.
